A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Sam, by trade, I am an engraver. I have a local engraving shop here in Phoenix, AZ. Over the last 40+ years I have engraved all types of metal. Stainless steel, cold roll steel, tool steel(heat treated and soft) Damascus Steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, bronze, & silver.
Included in the metals I have engraved are knives of all kinds. I’ve learned over the years all steels are not created equally. Therefore, I decided to do research on the different type of steels so I would know how best to approach the engraving process. I am not a metallurgist rather my knowledge of these steels comes from hands on use for over 4 decades.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE
I have developed this site to show all those who are in search of a knife the qualities of different types of steels that blades are made from as well as the different handle types and quality of blade locking mechanisms. So you can become an informed consumer and be able to best choose the knife that will fit your needs.
MY GOAL WITH THIS WEBSITE
My goal is to build trust so all visitors will have a resource for all their knife purchases. Whether you are looking for a kitchen knife or a pocket knife you will get the honest info concerning knives.
